Research says that men start to think that they’re ‘getting old’ once they strike 49.
Women? For women the number is 29.
It is April 2012. 4 Months and that’s me. 29, that is. Not feeling old. Not yet anyway. Age is just a number, right…?
I once saw a one-liner on twitter: Have you ever stopped and realized that being an adult is awesome!?!
Right on!
And so I’m inviting you to join me as I count down 4 months until my 29th birthday, and 12 thereafter until the big 3-0.
Debriefing – Examining years gone by – Ranting a bit – Getting a bit philosophical about what I’ve learned – Making meaning to sustain me in the years to come.

Your young to me…. it is all relative! Having your youth is great, but having wisdom is even better!
Liz Lobster said:
I agree Cynthia, wisdom is better. But since I have no choice in the matter of having to live through these ‘younger years’ in order to obtain the wisdom of the years… Know what I’m saying?

Yes, something I learned after much heartache is that the guys will come and go… but the female friendships will last a lifetime.

Hi there! Thanks for visiting my blog. I love your term “PANK”; it’s exactly what I was looking for to describe my sister! I can reassure you that as life goes on, you realise that life after 30 positively rocks : honest!

Thanks for the encouragement! Look at savvyauntie.com . That’s where I came across the term of PANK. There are also FUncles, you know…

So happy you are following Heifer 12 x 12 .. you’re a very wise young woman! Love your writing!!
Liz Lobster said:
Thank you so much for the compliment Betty. I love your “what gives” concept on your other blog. Ulrike Meinhof is supposed to have said: Whenever you feel sad, do something for someone else and you’ll feel a bit better. Rings quite true for me. The giver is often the one who gets most out of the deal.
Or what do you find?
